Check out Grossglockner Mountain and Pasterze Glacier

The Grossglockner is Austria’s highest mountain: >3,798 metres and one of the highest in the Alps. It’s a magical and mysterious area of great beauty. The alpine road to Grossglockner and to the glacier is itself a fantastic journey through woodlands, meadows and mountains. There are plenty of viewpoints to stop along the route and there are 3 Information Centres. There’s also plenty of wildlife to see, and the marmots are a particular favourite. The centres have adopted ‘Murmi’ as their official mascot for the children, as they are plenty of organised viewings for the animals throughout the area.
