Many of the resorts throughout the Ski Amadé region, including Flachau, regularly host many of the skiing and boarding competitions, including hosting many of the World Cup alpine skiing competitions, the FIS Snowboarding championships and even the World Ski-Bob Championships.

The atmosphere at these events is tremendous, as the entire community will head to the slopes to watch the events and support their national heroes. It’s a real fun filled festival.

Most notably the Ski Amadé region has been selected to host the 2103 World Alpine Skiing Championships, in Schladming. The region beat out tough competition from top resorts such as St Moritz, Cortina and Beaver Creek.
